We landed in Lyon, France around 9pm. We are now 6 hours ahead of home. Our friend Audrey who we are staying with in France picked us up. My mom asked if Audrey is French, and yes Audrey is French. Her English is good, we have a little trouble understanding each other sometimes- but for the most part no problem.
She picked us up at the airport and on the way to her house which was about an hour away she stopped into a small town called Annecy (pronounced ann-see). It was night time and it was lightly raining but it was still so beautiful.
We stopped and had a cheese plate with different deli meats and wine. I couldn't tell you what wine we had because we told Audrey what we like and she ordered for us. The cheese on the plate was specialties of Annecy. So delicious!
Then we walked back up to the car to go home to Audrey's house.
She walked us past the river that runs through the city. Annecy is called "Venice of the Alps" and you can see why!
Kevin is standing in front of and looking at the old jail in Annecy. It is in the middle of the water.
Once we got to Audrey's house we went to bed because we were waking up and leaving for Paris the next morning. We rode with her dad because he works in Paris during the week and we are staying at her Grandmother's house.
